CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 77-341 APPROVING APPOINTMENT OF CHRISTINE PEARSON AS A MEMBER OF ALAMEDA COUNTY HOUSING AUTHORITY COMMISSION WHEREAS, reorganization of the Alameda County Housing Authority including forming an independent board has been under consideration for some time; and WHEREAS, on November 22, 1977, the Board of Supervisors completed action to establish a Housing Authority Commission; and WHEREA~, the new commission will be made up of representatives of the eight cities where the Housing Authority operates, one representative of the unincorporated area and two tenant commissioners; and WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors will make the appointments to the commission and has asked each City to nominate an individual for the commission; and WHEREAS, the Board has asked that nominees be either lay people or Councilmembers and not staff; and WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors desires to make appointments to the commission on December 20, 1977; and WHEREAS, Mrs. Christine Pearson has indicated a desire to be considered for this nomination; and WHEREAS, the Housing Authority Attorney Bill Struthers has to be contacted to see if there would be any incompatibility of office by Ms. Pearson since she is now a member of the Pleasanton Housing Authority Board; and WHEREAS, the City Council, at its meeting of December 13, 1977, received and reviewed a report dated December 5, 1977, from the City Manager regarding the nomination for Alameda County Housing Authority Commissioner. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Appoints Ms. Christine Pearson to serve as Pleasanton's representative on the Alameda County Housing Authority, subject to clarification regarding incompatibility of office. III
