WHEREAS , <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 77-335 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR <br />REZONING APPLICATION (PUD-77-8) <br /> <br />the City Council, at its meeting of December 13, 1977, re- <br />ceived a proposed negative declaration for the rezoning of an <br />approximately 10 acre site located between Hopyard Road and <br />Valley Avenue behind the Alpha Beta shopping center and includ- <br />ing both sides of the future Northway Road from RM-1500 and <br />RM-2500 (High Density Multiple Residential) Districts to the <br />PUD (Planned Unit Development High Density Residential) District; <br />and <br /> <br />said proposal was based upon an Initial Study done pursuant <br />to the Environmental Impact Guidelines and Procedures adopted <br />by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton by Resolution <br />No. 77-66; and <br /> <br />the City Council, at its meeting of December 13, 1977, re- <br />ceived the Initial Study and proposed Negative Declaration <br />in a report from the Director of Planning dated, November 18, <br />1977, regarding the proposed rezoning; and <br /> <br />the City Council was advised by the City Attorney of their <br />responsibilities in reviewing the proposed Negative Declaration <br />and the determinations required by Section 5.4(e) of Resolution <br />No. 77-66; and <br /> <br />each member of the City Council had before them copies of <br />Resolution No. 77-66 at the time of considering the proposed <br />Negative Declaration and Initial Study; and <br /> <br />the public was afforded an opportunity to comment on the <br />proposed environmental assessment, which had previously been <br />published in the Pleasanton Times, at the time of the public <br />hearing on the rezoning proposal~ and <br /> <br />upon receipt of the staff report and public input, the City <br />Council reviewed the provisions of the City's Guidelines and <br />Processing Procedures for the evaluation of projects and the <br />preparation of Environmental Impact Reports as they pertain <br />to requirements for Negative Declarations and Environmental <br />Impact Reports in order to determine if a Negative Declaration <br />is appropriate for the project and what mitigation measures, <br />if any, must be undertaken to ensure that the project will not <br />have a significant impact upon the environment. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1.
