CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 78-7 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE EXECUTION OF A SEWER CONTRACT <br />BETWEEN THE LIVERMORE-AMADOR VALLEY WATER MANAGEMENT <br />AGENCY AND THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City of Pleasanton is a member of the Livermore-Amador <br />Valley Water Management Agency, a joint exercise of powers <br />agency created to implement a waste-water disposal program <br />in the Livermore-Amador Valley; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Livermore-Amador Valley Water Management Agency has <br />devised an export pipeline to San Francisco Bay via a <br />pipeline to be constructed by the East Bay Dischargers <br />Authority; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />LAVWMA is proceeding with the sale of bonds with respect <br />to the funding of the local share of costs for the con- <br />struction of said project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />it is necessary for the Agency to enter into a sewer service <br />contract with its member agencies in order to provide funding <br />for the debt obligation to be created by the revenue bonds <br />as well as to pay for operation and maintainence costs and <br />other related costs of the Agency; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council, at its meeting of January 10, 1978, <br />received a copy of the proposed sewer service contract <br />together with a staff report dated January 5, 1978 from <br />the City Manager. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Approves the execution by the Mayor of the sewer service <br /> contract with the Livermore-Amador Valley Water Management <br /> Agency subject to approval by the City Attorney. <br /> <br />Section 2.
