RE: <br /> <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 78-38B <br /> <br />PERMIT REQUIRED TO CHARGE ENTRANCE FEE AT CITY FACILITIES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the City Council that in <br /> the past certain organizations have charged entrance or <br /> parking fees for use of public parks during sporting <br /> events; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is concerned about the implication of <br /> groups charging such fees without City approval~ <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section <br /> <br />1. That there be no entrance fee, parking charge or donation <br />required at any sports event held in any City park unless <br />approved by the City Council. <br /> <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective March 1, 1978. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED FEBRUARY 15, 1978 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, Mercer and Mayor Philcox <br /> <br />NOES: NOne <br /> <br />ABSENT: Councilmember LeClaire <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Doris George, DeputyC~ii~y Clerk <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> <br />Harvey Levine, City Attorney <br /> <br /> <br />
