CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 78-38 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN <br />AGREEMENT WITH CASTLEWOOD COUNTRY CLUB TO PROVIDE TEMPORARY <br />CONNECTION TOANDUSE.OF THE WEST PLEASANTON SEWER LINE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council of the City of Pleasanton, at its Febru- <br />ary 15, 1978, meeting received a request from Castlewood <br />Country Club to permit Castlewood to make a temporary con- <br />nection to the West Pleasanton Sewer line to transport on <br />a strictly one-time basis only approximately one million <br />gallons of treated wastewater to the Dublin-San Ramon Ser- <br />vices District treatment plant; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Castlewood proposes to use the sewer line at times when <br /> normal flow is at a minimum; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Castlewood proposes to use the line for not more than thirty <br /> (30) days; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the necessity for such use was described as follows: <br /> <br />"We have been advised by the Alameda County Health <br />Care Services Agency that any potential overflow <br />from Castlewood's three wastewater, evaporation, <br />percolation ponds would create conditions which <br />could become dangerous and unsanitary. Castlewood <br />has been requested to establish and maintain a mini- <br />mum of two-foot free board in those ponds. Failing <br />that, Alameda County Health Care Services Agency has <br />indicated an injunction will be sought."; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the <br /> the <br /> and <br /> <br />City Manager of the City of Pleasanton recommended that <br />City give its approval to such temporary use on specific <br />limited conditions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager recommended the following conditions be <br /> attached to any approval for temporary use of the West <br /> Pleasanton Sewer line: <br /> <br />(a) the connection of the temporary pipeline to the <br /> West Pleasanton Sewer shall be at a point and by <br /> a method acceptable to the City Manager of the <br /> City; <br />(b) the temporary connection shall remain in place for <br /> no longer than 30 days after which all temporary <br /> facilities shall be removed. <br />(c) the temporary connection may be terminated by the <br /> City Manager at any time he determines that con- <br /> tinued use is detrimental to the City's facilities <br /> or upon the request of the Dublin-San Ramon Services <br /> District or the Regional Water Quality Control Board. <br />(e) Castlewood shall pay to the City within sixty days <br /> after termination of the connection all costs ineurred <br /> <br /> <br />
