CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 78-29 RE: DESIGNATION OF CENTRAL BALLOT COUNTING PLACE, POLLING PLACES, AND APPOINTMENT OF ELECTION OFFICERS WHEREAS, ELECTIONS CODE §U050 provides that the City Council may by resolution provide that all ballots shall be counted at a central ballot counting place for the March 7, 1978 election; and WHEREAS, Elections Code ~22805 and ~22834 require that City Council appoint precinct election officers, designate polling places, and publish a notice indicating names of said election officers and the polling places designated for each election precinct; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton is hereby author- ized and directed to designate the Pleasanton Civic Center 200 Bernal Avenue, Pleasanton as the central ballot counting place for the March 7, 1978 election. Section 2. Attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein by reference is a list of the precincts, precinct election officers and designated polling places for the upcoming March 7, 1978 election. The persons and places set forth in this list are hereby appointed and designated by the City Council as the precinct officers and polling places for the general municipal election to be held in the City of Pleasanton on Tuesday, March 7, 1978. Said polling places will be open between the hours of 7 o'clock a.m. and 8 o'clock P.M. of said day. Section 3. This resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage and adoption and shall be published once in a news- paper of general circulation in the City of Pleasanton.
