DESIGN REVIEW BOARD <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. R-77-65 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE DESIGN REVIEW BOARD OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON DENYING AN ILLUMINATED SIGN FOR THE EL CHARRO <br />RESTAURANT AT 435 MAIN STREET, FILED UNDER Z-77-184. <br /> <br />WHEREAS , <br /> <br />Oakland Neon Sign Company, on behalf <br />has filed for design review approval <br />identify the E1 Charro Restaurant at <br /> <br />of E1 Charro Restaurant, <br />to erect a sign to <br />435 Main Street; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is C-C (Central Commercial) District; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />a public hearing on this application was held on December <br />14, 1977, at which time all pertinent drawings, documents, <br />reports and testimony were reviewed; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it was staff's opinion that a more appropriate sign would <br /> be a wooden, non-illuminated sign; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board concurred that a wooden sign would be more <br /> appropriate. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE DESIGN REVIEW BOARD RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br /> <br />Section 1. The Design Review Board denies Z-77-184, as petitioned, <br /> but approved a sign of the same size, color and design as <br /> long as it is of carved or sandblasted wood construction <br /> without internal illumination. <br /> <br />Section 2.
