CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 78-75 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPOINTING R. E. BUTLER, 3831 PINOT COURT, <br />TO SERVE AS COUNCILMEMBER UNTIL THE NOVEMBER, 1978, BALLOT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />there is a vacancy on the City Council membership created <br />by the resignation of William J. Herlihy on March 17, 1978; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />persons interested in serving on the City Council to fill <br />the unexpired term of Mr. Herlihy submitted applications <br />for the positions and were interviewed personally by the <br />Councilmembers; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at a special meeting of City Council held on April 14, <br />1978, Councilmembers discussed filling the vacancy by <br />appointing one of the applicants to serve as Council- <br />member until the November, 1978, election; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Appoints Robert E. Butler, 3831 Pinot Court, Pleasanton, <br /> to serve as Councilmember on the Pleasanton City Council <br /> until the November, 1978, ballot. <br /> <br />Section 2.
