CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 78-67 <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF APPLICATION OF VAN BOKKELEN-COLE COMPANY <br />FOR A GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT FOR A 3.8 ACRE PARCEL <br />LOCATED ON THE EAST SIDE OF SANTA RITA ROAD JUST <br />NORTH OF THE ARROYO MOCHO <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> <br />the City Council at its meeting of March 28, 1978, <br />received a proposed application for a General Plan <br />Amendment to change the land use designation of a <br />3.8 acre parcel located on the east side of Santa Rita <br />Road just north of the Arroyo Mocho from"High Density <br />Residential" to "Commercial and Offices"; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> <br />the City Council determined that a Negative Declaration <br />was appropriate for the proposed General Plan Amendment <br />and adopted Resolution No. 78-66 approving the Negative <br />Declaration; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> <br />the City Council held a public hearing, at that meeting <br />of March 28, 1978, with respect to the General Plan <br />Amendment at which time any member of the public was <br />offered the opportunity to address the City Council on <br />said amendment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS , <br /> <br />after the close of the public hearing the City Council <br />deliberated upon the proposed amendment, considering <br />the information set forth in the report dated March 16, <br />1978, from the Director of Planning and Community Develop- <br />ment and attachments thereto, as well as the information <br />contained in the initial study leading to the Negative <br />Delcaration for said project. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section <br /> <br />1. The City Council approves the application of Van Bokkelen- <br />Cole Company for a General Plan Amendment to change the land <br />use designation of a 3.8 acre parcel located on the east side <br />of Santa Rita Road just north of the Arroyo Mocho from "High <br />Density Residential" to "Commercial and Offices". <br /> <br />Section 2. The City Council determines that this is one of three <br /> times in 1978 that the land use element of the General <br /> Plan is amended as authorized by Government Code §65631. <br /> <br />Section 3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon <br /> its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />III <br /> <br /> <br />
