CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 78-66 A RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR A GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT (GP-78-2) TO CHANGE THE LAND USE DESIGNATION OF A 3.8 ACRE PARCEL OF LAND LOCATED ON THE EAST SIDE OF SANTA RITA ROAD I~DIATELY NORTH OF THE ARROYO MOCHO FROM HIGH DENSITY RESIDENTIAL TO CODZRCIAL AND OFFICES. WHEREAS, Van Bokkelen-Cole Company had filed a request with the City of Pleasanton to change the General Plan land use designation for a 3.8 acre parcel of property located on the east side of Santa Rita Road immediately north of the Arroyo Mocho from High Density Residential to Commercial and Offices; and WHEREAS, the Planning Division of the Department of Planning and Community Development made an initial study of the environ- mental consequences of said request; and WHEREAS the Director of Planning recommended the preparation of a Negative Declaration; and WHEREAS the initial study and recommendation of the Director of Planning were considered by the City Council at its meeting of March 28, 1978; and WHEREAS, the City Council had before it at that time the Environmental Impact Guidelines and Procedures adopted by the City Council on February 28, 1977, by Resolution 77-66; and WHEREAS, the City Attorney advised the City Council of the applicable provisions of the Guidelines which govern the evaluation of projects by the City Council, especially as set forth in .§5.4(e);~ and WHEREAS, on March 28, 1978, the City Council held a public hearing at which time any member of the public was offered the opportunity to address the Council regarding the initial study recommend- ing a Negative Declaration. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Council has reviewed the February 27, 1978, initial study and Negative Declaration for GP-78-2, recommended by the Director of Planning, has received public input on the proposed Negative Declaration and has reviewed the provisions of §5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 5.5 of the Environmental Impact Guide- lines and procedures of the City of Pleasanton adopted by Resolution No. 77-66 on February 28, 1977, in order to deter- mine if a Negative Declaration or an Environmental Impact Report should be prepared for the proposed General Plan Amendment.
