CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 78-63 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING CONVEYANCE OF EXCESS PORTION OF <br />PARCEL ACQUIRED FOR STONERIDGE DRIVE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />in 1976, City acquired a 3.65+ acre parcel of property that <br />was the direct extension of SToneridge Drive easterly of <br />Denker Drive; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />portions of this parcel were necessary for the extension of <br />Stoneridge Drive over Route 680 and to provide proper access <br />to the Dublin San Ramon Services District Water Reclamation <br />Plant; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />certain portions of this parcel are not needed for any known <br />public purpose and may be declared surplus and disposed of <br />accordingly; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Vorelco of California is the owner of a 25+ acre parcel east <br />of Route 680 which will be severed by the ~toneridge Drive <br />overcrossing project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />acquisition by City of the right-of-way needed for the over- <br />crossing project will leave a 4.1+ acre parcel of Vorelco <br />land south of Stoneridge Drive thit will be land-locked, <br />without direct access to a public street; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of March 28, 1978, Council received a report <br />from the Director of Engineering Services dated March 22, <br />1978, recommending that the surplus parcel described in <br />Exhibit A attached hereto be conveyed to Vorelco in lieu of <br />any severance damages that might otherwise accrue as a <br />result of the acquisition of the Stoneridge Drive right-of- <br />way; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Planning Commission had, at its meeting of March 8, 1978, <br />found conformity with the General Plan for this proposed <br />disposition as required by state law; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Approves conveyance of excess property portion of a <br /> parcel described in Exhibit A attached hereto to Vorelco <br /> in lieu of any severance damages which might otherwise accrue <br /> as a result of the acquisition of the Stoneridge Drive right- <br /> of-way. <br /> <br />Section 2.
