CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 78-100 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION DENYING APPLICATION OF THOMAS McMANUS <br />(GP-76-6) FOR A GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT TO CHANGE <br />THE LAND USE DESIGNATION OF AN APPROXIMATELY 66 ACRE <br />PARCEL OFLAND LOCATED BETWEEN THE YOUTH SPORTS PARK <br />AND THE ARROYO MOCHO IMMEDIATELY EAST OF HOPYARD ROAD <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of April 25, 1978, the City Council received <br />an application from Thomas McManus requesting that the City <br />of Pleasanton General Plan be amended to change the land <br />use designation of a 66 acre parcel of land located between <br />the Youth Sports Park and the Arroyo Mocho immediately east <br />of Hopyard Road; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council received a report dated April 10, 1978, <br />from the Director of Planning and Community Development <br />in which alternatives to GP-76-6 were presented; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council, also held a public hearing at their <br />meeting of April 25, 1978, at which time any member of <br />the public was offered anoppOrtunity to address the <br />City Council with respectlto'the General Plan Amendment; <br />and <br /> <br />WttEREAS, <br /> <br />after the close of the public hearing the City Council <br />deliberated upon the proposed amendment considering the <br />information set forth in the staff reports and attachments <br />thereto, as well as the information contained in the <br />initial study leading to the Negative Declaration for said <br />project. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Denies the application of Thomas McManus for a general <br /> plan amendment to change the Land Use designation of a 66 <br /> acre parcel of land located between the Youth Sports Park <br /> and the Arroyo Mocho immediately east of Hopyard Road from <br /> "Parks and Recreation" to "Medium Density Residential". <br /> <br />Section 2. Denies without prejudice GP-76-6(b), an alternate <br /> possibility of trading City-owned but undeveloped Sports <br /> Park land for a portion of the McManus Property. <br /> <br />Section 3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon <br /> its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />III <br /> <br /> <br />
