CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 78-118 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR REZONING <br />APPLICATION RZ-77-21. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />The City Council, at its meeting of May 9, 1978, received a <br />proposed negative declaration for the rezoning of an <br />approximately 60 acres of land located between Crellin Road and <br />the City Limit line at the end of Arbor Drive, from the R-1-6500 <br />and R-I-20,000 (Single Family Residential) Districts to the <br />PUD (Planned Unit Development) District; and <br /> <br />Said proposal was based upon an Initial Study done pursuant <br />to the Environmental Impact Guidelines and Procedures adopted <br />by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton by Resolution <br />77-66; and <br /> <br />The City Council, at its meeting of May 9, 1978, received the <br />Initial Study and proposed Negative Declaration in a report from <br />the Director of Planning and Cormnunity Development dated <br />April 5, 1978, regarding the proposed rezoning; and <br /> <br />The City Council was advised by the City Attorney of their <br />responsibilities in reviewing the proposed Negative Declaration <br />and the determinations required by Sections 5.4(e) of <br />Resolution 77-66; and <br /> <br />Each member of the City Council had before them copies of <br />Resolution 77-66 at the time of considering the proposed <br />Negative Declaration and Initial Study; and <br /> <br />The public was afforded an opportunity to comment on the <br />proposed environmental assessment, which had previousiF been <br />published in the Pleasanton Times, at the time of the public <br />hearing on the rezoning proposal; and <br /> <br />upon receipt of the staff report and public input, the City <br />Council reviewed the provisions of the City's Guidelines and <br />Processing Procedures for the evaluation of projects and the <br />preparation of Environmental Impact Reports as they pertain <br />to requirements for Negative Declarations and Environmental <br />Impact Reports in order to determine if a Negative Declaration <br />is appropriate for the project and what mitigation measures, <br />if any, must be undertaken to ensure that the project will not <br />have a significant impact upon the environment. <br /> <br /> <br />
