CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFO~qIA RESOLUTION NO. 78-102 A RESOLUTION SELECTING A WEED ABATEMENT CONTRACTOR AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT. WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that pursuant to Government Code Sections 39560 through 39588 that there are weeds and rubbish in the City of Pleasanton which must be abated; and WHEREAS, the City Council on April 11, 1978, adopted Resolution No. 78-74, establishing a list of lots upon which weeds must be abated; and WHEREAS the City of Pleasanton has received from various contractors applications and bids relating to performance of the City's 1978 weed abatement program; and WHEREAS after the conclusion of processing of applications and bids pursuant to specifications for weed abatement adopted by the City of Pleasanton, Spilker Tree Service was the only bidder interested in bidding on said contract; and WHEREAS the Fire Marshal by memorandum of April 19, 1978, to the Mayor and Members of the City Council, set forth informa- tion upon which he bases recommendation that Spilker Tree Service be designated as the City's contractor for weed abatement purposes. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Determines the Spilker Tree Service be designated as the City's contractor for the purposes of performance of the City's 1978 weed abatement program pursuant to Resolution No. 78-101. Section 2. Authorizes the Mayor to execute an Agreement approved by the City Attorney with Spilker Tree Service for the performance of the work mentioned herein. Section 3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
