CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 78-137 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR PLEASANTON <br />SPORTS AND RECREATION PARK MASTER PLAN <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council, at its meeting of May 23, 1978, received <br />a proposed ~egative declaration for the Pleasanton Sports and <br />Recreation Park Master Plan (hereinafter referred to as <br />the Project); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> <br />staff has determined that the proposed Pleasanton Sports and <br />Recreation Park Master Plan is a project for the purposes <br />of the California Environmental Quality Act; and <br /> <br />an Initial Study dons pursuant to the E~vironmental Impact <br />Guidelines and Procedures adopted by the City Council <br />of the City of Pleasanton by'Resolution No. 77-66 was pre- <br />pared for the Project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br />WHEREAS <br /> <br />the City Council, at;its meeting of May 23, 1978 also <br />received that Initial Study dated May 17, 1978; and <br /> <br />each member of the City Council had a copy of Resolution <br />No. 77-66 at the time of considering the p~posed <br />Negative Declaration and Initial Study; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the public was afforded an opportunity to comment on <br />the proposed environmental assessment, which had <br />been published in the Pleasanton Times, a newspaper <br />of general circulation; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council is aware of the provisions of the City's <br />Guidelines and Processing Procedures for the evaluation of <br />projects and the preparation of Environmental Impact Report <br />as they pertain to requirements for Negative Declarations <br />and Environmental Impact Reports. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. <br /> <br /> The City Council determines that the proposed Pleasanton <br />Sports and Recreation Park Master Plan Project would not have <br />any significant adverse effects on the environment and there- <br />fore no Environmental Impact Report shall be prepared. <br /> <br />Section 2. The City staff is directed to cause a Notice of Deter- <br /> mination to be filed pursuant to Section 5.4(g) of <br /> Resolution No. 77-66. <br /> <br />III <br /> <br /> <br />
