CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION N0. 78-135 APPROVAL OF ADOPTION OF A SAFETY ELEMENT TO THE PLEASANTON GENERAL PLAN WHICH WOULD CONTAIN GOALS, POLICIES AND IMPLEMENTATION PROGRAMS WITH RESPECT TO PROTECTION FROM FIRE, FLOOD, GEOLOGIC AND NUCLEAR HAZARDS WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at their meeting of April 10, 1978 reviewed a draft of the proposed Safety Element of the General Plan and recommended approval subject to two minor changes; and WHEREAS, the City Council determined that a negative declaration was appropriate for the proposed Safety Element and adopted Resolution No. 78-134 approving the Negative Declaration; and WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing at their meeting of May 23, 1978, with respect to the proposed Safety Element to the General Plan, at which time members of the public were given an opportunity to address the City Council; and WHEREAS, after the close of the public hearing the City Council deliberated upon the proposed Safety Element, considering the information set forth in the report dated April 17, 1978, from the Director of Planning and Community Develop- ment and attachement thereto, as well as the information contained in the initial study leading to the Negative Declaration for said proposal. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Approves the Safety Element to the Pleasanton General Plan, which would contain goals, policies and implementa- tion programs with respect to protection from fire, flood, geologic and nuclear hazards. Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
