CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION N0. 78-135 <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF ADOPTION OF A SAFETY ELEMENT TO THE <br />PLEASANTON GENERAL PLAN WHICH WOULD CONTAIN GOALS, <br />POLICIES AND IMPLEMENTATION PROGRAMS WITH RESPECT TO <br />PROTECTION FROM FIRE, FLOOD, GEOLOGIC AND NUCLEAR <br />HAZARDS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Planning Commission, at their meeting of April 10, 1978 <br />reviewed a draft of the proposed Safety Element of the <br />General Plan and recommended approval subject to two minor <br />changes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council determined that a negative declaration <br />was appropriate for the proposed Safety Element and <br />adopted Resolution No. 78-134 approving the Negative <br />Declaration; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council held a public hearing at their meeting <br />of May 23, 1978, with respect to the proposed Safety <br />Element to the General Plan, at which time members of <br />the public were given an opportunity to address the <br />City Council; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />after the close of the public hearing the City Council <br />deliberated upon the proposed Safety Element, considering <br />the information set forth in the report dated April 17, <br />1978, from the Director of Planning and Community Develop- <br />ment and attachement thereto, as well as the information <br />contained in the initial study leading to the Negative <br />Declaration for said proposal. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Approves the Safety Element to the Pleasanton General <br /> Plan, which would contain goals, policies and implementa- <br /> tion programs with respect to protection from fire, flood, <br /> geologic and nuclear hazards. <br /> <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon <br /> its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
