CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 78-180 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON REQUESTING CONSOLIDATION OF LOCAL SPECIAL <br />ELECTIONS WITH STATEWIDE ELECTIONS FOR COUNCIL SEAT <br />VACANCY. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Pleasanton, on April 14, <br />1978, called an election to fill the vacancy on that <br />Council created by the resignation of William Herlihy to <br />be held on November 6, 1978; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the California Elections Code Section 23302 requires the <br />filing of resolution with Board of Supervisors and County <br />Clerks requesting a consolidation with a statewide election. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council resolves as follows: <br /> <br />Section 1. To request that the City of Pleasanton's special election <br /> for one Council seat, vacated by resignation and temporarily <br /> filled by Robert Butler, be consolidated with the statewide <br /> election on November 6, 1978. <br /> <br />Section 2. That this request be filed with the Board of Supervisors <br /> of Alameda County and the County Clerk of Alameda County. <br /> <br />Section 3.
