CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUTNY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 78-169 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION REVIEWING BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT <br />FOR BLACK AVENUE OVERLAY, PROJECT NO. 78-4, TO <br />OLIVER DE SILVA, INC. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City prepared plans and specifications for the Black <br /> Avenue overlay, Project No. 78-4; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />pursuant to Government Code No. 37900, et seq., the City <br />Engineering Services Department advertised for bids re- <br />garding this project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />bids were received for the project on June 7, 1978, and <br />Oliver de Silva, Inc., in the amount of $18,021.30, was <br />determined to be the lowest responsible bid; and <br /> <br />$21,868.00 was budgeted in the 1977-78 budget for this <br />project. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RE- <br />SOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The bid of Oliver de Silva, Inco, in the amount of <br /> $18,021.30 for the completion of the Black Avenue overlay, <br /> Project No. 78-4, is hereby accepted by City Council as <br /> the lowest responsible bid. <br /> <br />Section 2. Extending the project to the east line of Halcyon Court <br /> for approximately an additional $2,000.00, is also hereby <br /> approved. <br /> <br />Section 3. The City is authorized to enter into a contract with <br /> Oliver de Silva, Inc., for the improvements specified above. <br /> <br />Section 4.
