CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAmeDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 78-162 <br /> <br />'ADDf~G THE %N!CREASED RESIDENTIAL CONSTRUCTION <br /> TAX SCHEDULE TO THE SCHEDULE IN THE FEES AND <br /> CHARGES RESOLUTION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City of Pleasanton provides various municipal services <br />for which fees and charges have been established in <br />Resolution No. 77-123; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Residential Construction Tax was adopted in June, <br />1972, as an urgency measure and has never been <br />increased; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council indicated its desire to look at <br />increasing the Residential Construction Tax to raise <br />additional funds for capital improvements; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Section 1-6.66 (Residential Construction Tax) of <br />Article 6, Chapter 3, Title I of the Ordinance Code <br />provides that taxes collected under its provision <br />shall be used solely for the provision of capital <br />improvements as provided for in the Capital Improvement <br />Program; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council, at its meeting of June 20, 1978, received <br />and reviewed a staff report and attachments dated June 14, <br />1978, from the Director of Planning and Community Develop- <br />ment regarding the Residential Construction Tax. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Approves addition of the Residential Construction Tax <br /> Schedule, as increased, to the resolution establishing fees <br /> and charges for various municipal services of the City <br /> of Pleasanton. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED ON JUNE 20, 1978 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br /> <br />
