CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION N0.78-199 <br /> <br />DETERMINING ON THE BASIS OF A REVIEW OF INITIAL ENVIRON- <br />MENTAL STUDY DONE FOR THIS PROJECT, THAT NO SIGNIFICANT <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT WOULD OCCUR AND THAT A NEGATIVE <br />DECLARATION IS APPROPRIATE TO PREZONE A 13.6 ACRE PARCEL <br />OF LAND LOCATED ON THE NORTH SIDE OF STANLEY BOULEVARD, <br />BOUNDED ON THE NORTH BY THE WESTERN PACIFIC HAILROAD <br />AND ON THE EAST BY THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC HAILROAD TO THE <br />"A" (AGRICULTURAL) DISTRICT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council at its meeting of August 8, 1978, received <br />a proposed negative declaration for an application to prezone <br />a 13.6 acre parcel located on the north side of Stanley Blvd. <br />bounded on the north by the Western Pacific Railroad and on <br />the east by the Southern Pacific Railroad to the "A" (Agri- <br />cultural) District (hereinafter referred to as the Project); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />staff has determined that the proposed application to prezone <br />the 13.6 acre parcel is a project for the purposes of the <br />California Environmental Quality Act; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />an Initial Study done pursuant to the Environmental Impact <br />Guidelines and Procedures adopted by the City Council of the <br />City of Pleasanton by Resolution No. 77-66 was prepared for <br />the Project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council, at its meeting of August 8, 1978, also <br />received that Initial Study dated August 1, 1978; and <br /> <br />each member of the City CounCil ~ad a copy of Resolution No. <br />77-66 at the-time of considering the proposed Negative Declara- <br />tionand Initial Study; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the public was afforded an opportunity to comment on the <br />proposed environmental assessment, which had been published <br />in the Pleasanton Times, a newspaper of general circulation; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council was aware of the provisions of the City's <br />Guidelines and Processing Procedures for the evaluation of <br />projects and the preparation of Environmental Impact Report <br />as they pertain to requirements for Negative Declaration and <br />Environmental Impact Reports. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Council determines that the proposed Project would <br /> not have any significant adverse effects on the environment and <br /> therefore no Environmental Impact Report shall be prepared. <br /> <br />III <br /> <br /> <br />
