~EREAS, <br /> <br />~EREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS , <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 78-198 <br /> <br />DENYING THE APPLICATION OF HARRIS REALTY TO REZONE AN <br />APPROXIMATELY 1.1 ACRE PARCEL OF LAND AT THE NORTHWEST <br />CORNER OF JOHNSON INDUSTRIAL DRIVE AND HOPYARD ROAD <br />FROM I-G (GENERAL INDUSTRIAL) DISTRICT TO THE C-C (CEN- <br />TRAL COMMERCIAL) DISTRICT, <br /> <br />Harris Realty has filed an application to rezone a 1.1 acre <br />parcel of land located at the Northwest corner of Johnson <br />Industrial Drive and Hopyard Road from the I-G (General In- <br />dustrial) District to the C-C (Central Commercial) District; <br />and <br /> <br />the Planning Division of the Department of Community Develop- <br />ment prepared an initial study pursuant to the Environmental <br />Impact Guidelines and Procedures of the City of Pleasanton <br />adopted by Resolution 77-66 on February 28, 1977; and <br /> <br />the City Council at its meeting of August 28, 1978 received <br />a report dated August 2, 1978 from the Director of Planning <br />regarding this appeal to which was attached the Initial Study; <br />and <br /> <br />the City Council opened the public hearing on the Negative De- <br />claration and the application and took testimony from all in- <br />terested members of the public desiring to speak to the City <br />Council regarding the proposed rezoning; and <br /> <br />upon termination of the public hearing, the City Council de- <br />liberated upon the information which it had received from the <br />public during the public hearing, from the Director of Planning <br />as set forth in the August 2, 1978 memorandum, as well as the <br />initial study attached thereto and the provisions of the Environ- <br />mental Impact Guidelines and Procedures of the City Council <br />which were before the City Council at the time of deliberation; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section <br /> <br />1. Denies the application of Harris Realty to rezone an approxi- <br /> mately 1.1 acre parcel of land located at the Northwest corner <br /> of Johnson Industrial Drive and Hopyard Road from the I-G <br /> (General Industrial) District to the C-C (Central Commercial) <br /> District. <br /> <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its <br /> passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED ON AUGUST 8, 1978 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Kephart, and Wood <br /> <br /> <br />
