CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 78-187 <br /> <br />RE: REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR SIGNAL <br />CONTROL EQUIPMENT AND TRAFFIC SIGNAL INSTALLATION ON <br />SANTA RITA ROAD AND WEST LAS POSITAS BOULEVARD <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />City staff prepared plans and specifications for the installa- <br />tion of signal control equipment and improvements at Santa <br />Rita Road and West Las Positas Boulevard; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />pursuant to Government Code Section 37900, et seq., the <br />City Engineering Services Department advertised for bids <br />for completion of this project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />City Council reviewed the bids received for this project <br />at their meeting of July 25, 1978, and determined that the <br />bids of Multisonics, Inc. in the amount of $7,211.11 for <br />signal control equipment and of Steiny and Company in the <br />amount of $47,404 for street improvements were the lowest <br />responsible bids; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br />RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section <br /> <br />1. The bids of Multisonics, Inc. in the amount of $7,211.11 <br /> for signal control equipment and of Steiny and Company in <br /> the amount of $47,404 for traffic signal installation and <br /> minor street improvements are hereby accepted by City <br /> Council as the lowest responsible bids. <br /> <br />Section <br /> <br />2. The appropriate City officers are authorized to enter <br />into contracts with Multisonics, Inc. and Steiny and Company <br />for the improvements specified in Section 1 above. <br /> <br />Section 3.
