CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO, 78-208 <br /> <br />AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 76-79 (A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING <br />TRAFFIC REGULATIONS FOR CITY STREETS) TO PROHIBIT TRUCK <br />PARKING ON CERTAIN STREETS IN THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />the City Council, at its meeting of August 8, 1978, received <br />a report from the Director of Public Works and Utilities <br />dated August 2, 1978, regarding problems of heavy trucks <br />parking on certain streets in the City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />a communication was also received from the Planning Com- <br />mission dated July 13, 1978, recommending prohibitingall park- <br />ing on the northern end of Old Hopyard Road (that portion <br />which dead ends at Highway 1-580); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />it is proposed by the Director of Public Works and Utilities <br />that Resolution No. 76-79 (A Resolution Establishing Traffic <br />Regulations for City Streets) be amended to alleviate these <br />problems; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br />RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Amends Section 6 (No Parking Zones), of Resolution No. <br /> 76-79 (Traffic Resolution) by the addition of the following <br /> subparagraphs: <br /> <br />Section 2. Amends <br /> of Resolution No. <br /> follows: <br /> <br />6o-1 Old Hopyard Road, including the circle for all <br /> vehicles. <br /> <br />6f-3 Frontage Road in Mission Park on Sunol Boulevard, <br /> for trucks and trailers over 20' in length. <br />6s-4 Santa Rita Road and Old Santa Rita Road, for <br /> trucks and trailers over 20' in length. <br />6s-5 Sunol Boulevard to Rosepointe, for trucks and <br /> trailers over 20' in length. <br />6v-6 Valley Avenue and Busch Road east of Santa <br /> Rita Road, for trucks and trailers over 20' <br /> in length. <br /> <br /> subparagraph 6j-1 of Section 6 (No Parking Zones) <br /> 76-79 (Traffic Resolution) to read as <br /> <br />6j-1 Johnson Industrial Drive, from Hopyard Road to <br /> Tennis Town, for all vehicles. <br /> <br />Section 3. This resolution shall be effective immediately upon its <br /> passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED ON AUGUST 8, 1978, BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler and Kephart <br />NOES: Councilmember Wood and Mayor Mercer <br /> <br /> <br />
