CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 78-206 <br /> <br />REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUC- <br />TION OF CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT STORM DRAINAGE <br />OUTFALL, PROJECT NO. 78-3, TO MOUNTAIN CONSTRUCTION <br />COMPANY. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />The City prepared plans and specifications for the Construc- <br />tion of Central Business District Storm Drainage outfall, <br />Project No. 78-3; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />pursuant to Government Code #37900, et seq., the City Engineer- <br />ing Services Department advertised for bids regarding this <br />project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council at its meeting of August 8, 1978, received a <br />report from the Director of Engineering Services dated July <br />31, 1978; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the bid of Mountain Construction Company was the lowest respon- <br /> sible bid; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The bid of Mountain Construction Co. in the amount of <br /> $207,366.00 for the construction of the Central Business District <br /> Storm Drainage outfall, Project No. 78-3 is hereby accepted <br /> by the City CounCil as the lowest responsible bid. <br /> <br />Section 2. Authorizes the allocation of $35,180 additional funds this <br /> project from existing capital Improvement fund surplus. <br /> <br />Section 3. The City is authorized to enter into a contract with Moun- <br /> tain Construction Co. for the improvements specified above. <br /> <br />Section 4.
