CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 78-239 <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF RETURNING THE CHEVROLET RESCUE MODULANCE <br />VEHICLE TO ALAMEDA COUNTY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />in 1977, a Chevrolet Rescue Modulance Vehicle was procurred <br />thr6ugh a government grant through the County of Alameda, <br />at no cost to the City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the contract with Alameda County, E.M.S. mandates specific <br /> staffing and response obligations; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />because of the specialized uses of this vehicle and the <br />limited number of staff available for assignment, the City <br />is not using the vehicle to its fullest capacity; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />on July 24, 1978, the fire <br />for a Mini-Pumper which is <br />by the City; and <br /> <br />department received certification <br />ideal for the multi-uses needed <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council at its meeting of September 9, 1978, <br />received and considered a report dated August 8, 1978, from <br />the Fire Chief and testimony from members of the public, <br />regarding the return of the Chevrolet Rescue Modulance <br />Vehicle to Alameda County. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Approves the return of the Chevrolet Rescue Modulance <br /> Vehicle to Alameda County as allowed for in the contract. <br /> <br />Section 2. That the Mini-Pumper be placed into daily service to <br /> replace the Rescue Vehicle. <br /> <br />Section 3. That personnel be reassigned as a result of this change <br /> to increase the staffing at Station #3 to three personnel <br /> per shift for approximately 40% of the time, and three <br /> personnel at Station #2 for one shift for approximately <br /> 20% of the time. <br /> <br />Section 4. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon <br /> its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
