CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 78-237 <br />A RESOLUTION FORMALLY COMMUNICATING TO THE PLEASANTON <br />HOUSING AUTHORITY BOARD THE CITY COUNCIL'S CONCERNS <br />ABOUT CERTAIN PAST OPERATIONS AND INSTRUCTING THE CITY <br />MANAGER TO RECOMMEND FUTURE PROCEDURES AND ESTABLISH <br />REGULAR INTERACTION BETWEEN THE COUNCIL AND HOUSING <br />AUTHORITY TO INSURE THAT THE COUNCIL'S CONCERNS ARE <br />RECOGNIZED AND ACTED UPON <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />on August 8, 1978, the City Council directed the staff to <br />study the organization and operational alternatives for <br />the City of Pleasanton Housing Authority; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the findings, and alternatives were contained in a study <br /> dated September 5, 1978; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />said report was presented to the City Council on Septem- <br />ber 12, 1978, at which time public testimony was received, <br />and the legal ramifications of the alternatives offered <br />in the report explained by the City Attorney; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. <br /> <br />Section <br /> <br /> The City Council wishes to formally communicate to the <br />Pleasanton Housing Authority Board their concerns about <br />past operations and instruct the City Manager to recommend <br />future procedures and institute regular interaction between <br />the Council and the Housing Authority which would insure <br />that Council's concerns are recognized and acted upon. <br /> <br /> This resolution shall become effective immediately upon <br />its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION WAS ADOPTED ON SEPTEMBER 12, 1978, BY THE FOLLOWING <br />VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Kephart, Wood and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None ~R/C~~ <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />C~n E.'~ Clerk <br />By Doris George, Deputy City Clerk <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> <br /> ne, City Attorney <br /> <br /> <br />
