CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 78-234 <br /> <br />APPROVING CHANGING CITY COUNCIL POLICY REGARDING COUNCIL <br />MEMBERS APPEALING A DECISION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council has determined that it would be desirable <br />to establish City Council policy regarding a Councilmember <br />appealing a Planning Commission decision; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Approves changing City Council policy relating to a <br /> Councilmember appealing a decision of the Planning Commis- <br /> sion to require that three votes of Council be in concur- <br /> rence before appeal fees will be waived; if a Councilmember <br /> does not receive three votes in concurrence with the appeal, <br /> the Councilmember may appeal as a citizen but he is required <br /> to pay the appeal fee. <br /> <br />Section 2. This resolution shall be effective immediately upon its <br /> passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED ON SEPTEMBER 12, 1978, BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Wood and Mayor Mercer <br /> <br />NOES: Councilmember Brandes <br />~George, Deputy City Clerk . CER, Mayor <br /> <br /> APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br />~Levine, City Attorney <br /> <br /> <br />
