CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 78-229 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE <br />OF CALIFORNIA COOPERATIVE PERSONNEL SERVICES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City of Pleasanton has previously contracted with the <br />State of California Cooperative Personnel Services for the <br />provision of various written examination materials used in <br />entry level and promotional employment testing; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council, at their meeting of September 12, 1978, <br />received a report from the City Manager recommending that <br />said contract be renewed for a period of two years commenc- <br />ing October 1, 1978. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br />RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section <br /> <br />1. Authorizes execution by Mayor Kenneth R. Mercer of an <br />agreement between the City of Pleasanton and the State of <br />California, State Personnel Board, Cooperative Personnel <br />Services Division, for the purpose of performing examining <br />services for the City of Pleasanton for two years. <br /> <br />Section 2. This resolution shall be effective immediately upon its <br /> passage and adoption. <br /> <br />Following is an excerpt from the minutes of the City Council of the <br />City of Pleasanton meeting held September 12, 1978: <br /> <br />On the recommendation of Clayton E. Brown, City Manager, <br />it was moved by Frank Brandes, Jr., Councilmember, and <br />seconded by Robert Butler, Councilmembe~that Kenneth R. <br />Mercer, Mayor of the City of Pleasanton, be authorized <br />to enter into and sign an agreement with the State of <br />California, California State Personnel Board, Cooperative <br />Personnel Services, for the purpose of performing examin- <br />ing services for the City of Pleasanton for a period of <br />two years commencing October 1, 1978. <br /> <br />The motion was carried as indicated: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Kephart, <br /> Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Wood, and <br /> <br />I certify that this is a true copy of a portion of the minutes of <br />the City Council of the City of Pleasanton and of the resolution <br />adopted by the City Council at its meeting of September 12, 1978. <br /> <br />DATED: September 12, 1978 <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> <br />H ev , City Attorney <br /> <br />Cla~yt~ E.
