CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 78-257 <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A LEASE <br /> AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF PLEASANTON AND ALAMEDA COUNTY <br /> AGRICULTURAL FAIR ASSOCIATION FOR THE YOUNG CALIFORNIA <br /> BUILDING FOR TENNIS FACILITIES <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton and the Alameda County Agricultural <br /> Fair Association previously entered into a lease agreement <br /> whereby the City would lease the Young California Building <br /> for the purposes of establishing indoor tennis courts to <br /> be operated by the City for the term August 1, 1977 thru <br /> May 31, 1978, excluding the month of December, 1977; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />City of Pleasantonand Alameda County Agricultural Fair <br />Association are interested in entering into another lease <br />of the same facility for the same purposes, said lease to <br />run from November 1, 1978, through March 31, 1979, for a <br />total rental fee of $7,200.00 for this period; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />a copy of the proposed lease between the parties was sub- <br />mitted to the City Council at its meeting of October 10, <br />1978, for its consideration. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br />RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Authorizes the Mayor to execute a lease agreement between <br /> the City of Pleasanton and the Alameda County Agricultural <br /> Fair Association entitled, Lease Agreement Tennis Facilities, <br /> Young California Building Alameda County Fairgrounds, said <br /> lease to run from November 1, 1978, through March 31, 1979. <br />Section 2. This resolution shall be effective immediately upon its <br /> passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION WAS ADOPTED ON OCTOBER 10, 1978 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Brandes, Butler, Kephart, and Mayor Mercer <br /> <br />NOES: None <br /> <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Wood ~RCER Mayor <br />ATTEST: , ~~j <br /> <br />Doris George, Deputy City Clerk <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> <br /> <br />
