CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 78-256 <br /> <br />REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO PETER COLE <br />JENSEN FOR THE SEWER PORTION OF THE INTERCEPTOR <br />SEWER PROJECT AND THE CONTRACT FOR THE PUMP STATIONS <br />TO ELMER J. FREETHY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City prepared plans and specifications for the <br />Interceptor Sewer and Pump Stations Project; and <br /> <br />pursuant to Government Code #37900, et seq., the City <br />Engineering Department advertised for bids regarding <br />this project; and <br /> <br />bids were received and reviewed by Council at their <br />meeting of October 3, 1978; and <br /> <br />the bids of Peter Cole Jensen was the lowest responsible <br />bid for the sewer portion of the project and the bid of <br />Elmer J. Freethy was the lowest responsible bid for the <br />pump stations. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br />RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section <br /> <br />1. The bid of Peter Cole Jensen in the amount of $1,565,000. <br />for the construction of the Interceptor Sewer and the <br />bid of Elmer J. Freethy in the amount of $2,197,000 for the <br />construction of the Pump Stations are hereby accepted by <br />the City Council as the lowest responsible bids. <br /> <br />Section <br /> <br />2. The City is authorized to enter into contracts with <br />Peter Cole Jensen and Elmer J. Freethy for the improvements <br />specified above. <br /> <br />Section 3. <br /> its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION WAS ADOPTED ON OCTOBER 3, <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Brandes, Butler, <br /> Mayor Mercer <br /> None <br /> <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />This resolution shall become effective immediately upon <br /> <br /> 1978, BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> Kephart, Wood and <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br />ATTEST: J · <br /> <br /> y .
