CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 78-265 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATI~I DECLARATION FOR A GENERAL <br />PL~]~'ZND~NT (CASE GP-78-5, A 10 ACRE PARCEL OF LAND ON <br />THE EAST SIDE OF SANTA RITA ROAD NEAR MOIiR AVENUE). <br /> <br />Mr. Ted Myers had filed a request with the City of Pleasanton <br />to change the General Plan land use designation for a <br />10 acre parcel of property located on the east side of <br />Santa Rita Road about 225 feet north of Mohr Avenue, from <br />Public and Institutional to Commercial and Offices; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Planning Division of the Department of Conmunity Develop- <br />ment made an initial study of the environmental consequences <br />of said request; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Planning recomnended the preparation of a <br /> Negative Declaration; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the initial study and recommendation of the Director of <br />Planning of August 29, 1978, were considered by the City <br />Council at its meeting of October 10, 1978; and <br /> <br />WHERE~AS , <br /> <br />the City Council had before it at that time the Environmental <br />Intact ~uidelines and Procedures adopted by the City Council <br />on February 28, 1977, by Resolution 77-66; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Attorney advised the City Council of the applicable <br />provisions of the Guidelines which govern the evaluation of <br />projects by the City Council, especially as set forth in <br />§5.4(e); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council held a public hearing at which time any <br />member of the public was offered the opportunity to address <br />Council regarding the initial study recommending a Negative <br />Declaration. <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FLEASANTON DOES P~SOLVE <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Council has reviewed the August 29, 1978, initial <br /> study and Negative Declaration recommended by the Director of <br /> Planning related to GP-78-5, has received public input on <br /> the proposed Negative Declaration and has reviewed the <br /> provisions of §5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 5.5 of the Environmental <br /> Impact Guidelines and Procedures of the City of Pleasanton <br /> adopted by Resolution 77-66 on February 28, 1977, in order <br /> to determine if a Negative Declaration or an Environmental <br /> Impact Report should be prepared for the proposed General <br /> Plan Amendment. <br /> <br /> <br />
