CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 78-299 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING <br />BETWEEN THE CITY OF PLEASANTON AND THE PLEASANTON CITY <br />EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION AND FIXING SALARIES AND CONDITIONS <br />OF EMPLOYMENT FOR ENUMERATED CLASSES OF EMPLOYEES, AND <br />AMENDING THE 78-79 BUDGET ACCORDINGLY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City of Pleasanton, acting through the City Manager <br />as employer representative of the City Council, and <br />representatives of Pleasanton City Employees Association <br />have met and conferred pursuant to the provisions of <br />Section 3500, et seq., of the Government Code in regard <br />to wages, hours and other items and conditions of employ- <br />ment for members of the Pleasanton City Employees Associa- <br />tion; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS , <br /> <br />as a result of the above meeting and conferring process <br />a Memorandum of Understanding dated October 1, 1978, was <br />entered into between th~C%py Manager and representatives <br />of the Pleasanton City ~Employees Association; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said Memorandum of Understanding was presented to the City <br /> Council at the regular meeting of December 5, 1978; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The Memorandum of Understanding entered into between <br /> the City Manager and representatives of Pleasanton City <br /> Employees Association for a term commencing October 1, <br /> 1978 through December 31, 1979, attached hereto as Exhibit <br /> A and incorporated herein, by reference, is hereby accepted <br /> by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton subject to <br /> the terms and conditions contained in the Memorandum of <br /> Understanding. <br /> <br />Section 2. The employees class titles and salary ranges to be paid <br /> by the City of Pleasanton to employees in the Pleasanton <br /> City Employees Association during the period October 1, 1978 <br /> through December 31, 1979 shall be as set forth in Exhibit A, <br /> which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. <br /> <br />Section 3. This resolution shall become effective upon its adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED ON DECEMBER 5, 1978, BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmember Brandes, <br /> Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />Butler, Kephart, <br /> <br />Wood and <br /> <br />III <br /> <br /> <br />
