WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 78-296 <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN ALAMEDA COUNTY <br />ASSOCIATION FOR THE MENTALLY RETARDED AND THE <br />CITIES OF LIVERMORE AND PLEASANTON RE: GARNET <br />AUSTIN CENTER. <br /> <br />in January, 1978, the City Council approved a grant of <br />$7,797.00 from Urban County, 1978 HCD Program to the Alameda <br />County Association for the Mentally Retarded for the purpose <br />of purchasing and improving property for the Garnet Austin <br />Center; and <br />the City of Livermore has granted $39,000.00 to the same <br />project; and <br />at its meeting of December 5, 1978, City Council reviewed an <br />agreement between the Cities and the Association which had <br />been prepared by the City Attorney of Livermore and the <br />Alameda County Counsel's office to ensure the grant money is <br />used for the benefit of the public. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. Approves and authorizes execution of the Agreement between <br /> the Alameda County Association for the Mentally Retarded <br /> for the purpose of purchasing and improving property for the <br /> Garnet Austin Center. <br /> <br />Section 2.
