CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 78-292 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A POLICY FOR CONSIDERING <br /> GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENTS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />State Law limits the number of times which any mandatory <br />element of the General Plan can be amended to three times <br />per year; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Land Use Element is the element most frequently con- <br /> sidered for amendment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />in order to be as equitable as possible to those seeking <br />a change in the Land Use Element, staff recommended that <br />the three times in the year when such amendments are <br />heard be April, August and December; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />this recommendation was reviewed by Council at their <br />November 21, 1978, meeting when they concurred with <br />staff's recommendation. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. <br /> <br /> The Council establishes a policy for hearing General <br />Plan Amendments to Land Use Element only in April, August <br />and December of each calendar year. <br /> <br />Section 2.
