CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 78-283 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR THE <br />REZONING OF THREE PROPERTIES IN MISSION PARK <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council at its meeting of November 11, 1978, <br />received a proposed negative declaration for the rezoning <br />of the 4 acre parcel located on the southside of Junipero <br />Street approximately 250 feet east of Sunol Boulevard <br />from the RM-1500 to the RM-4000 District, the 1.2 acre <br />site located at the southwest corner of the intersection <br />of Sonoma Drive and SanCarlos Way from RM-1500 to the <br />RM-4000 District and the approximately 2-1/2 acre parcel <br />located on the south side of Junipero Street immediately <br />east of Sunol Boulevard from the R-1-6500 to the P (Public <br />and Institutional) District, Case RZ-78-7; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />staff has determined that the proposed rezoning is a project <br />for the purposes of the California Environmental Quality Act; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS , <br /> <br />an Initial Study done pursuant to the Environmental Impact <br />Guidelines and Procedures adopted by the City Council of <br />the City of Pleasanton by Resolution No. 77-66 was prepared <br />for the project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council at its meeting of November 14, 1978, also <br /> received that Initial Study dated July 27, 1978; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />each member of the City Council had a copy of Resolution No. <br />77-66 at the time of considering the proposed Negative <br />Declaration and Initial Study; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the public was afforded an opportunity to comment on the <br />proposed environmental assessment, which had been published <br />in "The Valley Times," a newspaper of general circulation; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council is aware of the provisions of the City's <br />Guidelines and Processing Procedures for the evaluation of <br />projects and the preparation of Environmental Impact Reports <br />as they pertain to requirements for Negative Declarations <br />and Environmental Impact Reports. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Council determines that Case RZ-78-7 would not <br /> have any significant adverse effects on the environment and, <br /> therefore, no Environmental Impact Report shall be prepared. <br /> <br />III <br /> <br /> <br />
