CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COFNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 78-312 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING A COMPENSATION PLAN FIXING SALARIES <br />AND BENEFITS FOR MANAGEMENT AND CONFIDENTIAL PERSONNEL FOR <br />THE CITY OF PLEASANTON NOT INCLUDING THE CITY MANAGER AND <br />CITY ATTORNEY AND REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 77-232 AND <br />AMENDING THE 1978-79 BUDGET ACCORDINGLy <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has authorized the establishment and designation of <br /> employees as management and confidential employees; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager has prepared and submitted a compensation plan <br /> recommending salary ranges and supplementary benefits for Fiscal <br /> Year 1978-79 for management and confidential employees; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has previously, by Resolution No. 77-232, adopted <br /> a compensation plan for the above employees, which resolution must <br /> now be repealed. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section <br /> <br />Section <br /> <br />Section <br /> <br />1. The salary ranges and supplementary benefits for management <br />employees for the period commencing July 1, 1978, and ending <br />September 30, 1979, shall be as set forth in Exhibit A attached <br />hereto and incorporated herein by reference. <br /> <br />2. The salary ranges and supplementary benefits for confidential <br />employees for the period commencing July 1, 1978, and ending <br />September 30, 1979, shall be as set forth in Exhibit B attached <br />hereto and incorporated herein by reference. <br /> <br />3. The 1978-79 Budget of the City of Pleasanton is amended accord- <br />ingly. <br /> <br />Section <br />Section <br /> <br />4. Resolution No. 77-232 is hereby repealed. <br /> <br />5. Except as provided herein to the contrary the terms and provisions <br />of this Resolution shall not effect the applicability of the Personnel <br />Rules of the City of Pleasanton management and confidential employees <br />who are not exempt from said Rules. <br /> <br />Section 6. The wages and fringe benefits set forth in this Resolution shall he <br /> the only compensation for the positions set forth in Exhibits A and B <br /> hereto and there shall be no right to receive benefits contained in <br /> any Memoranda of Understanding with the City's recognized employee <br /> organizations which are not included in the wages and benefits set <br /> forth herein. It is the City Council's intention that there shall be <br /> mutual exclusivity between the compensation plans set forth in this <br /> Resolution and the items contained in negotiated Memoranda of Under- <br /> standing. <br /> <br /> <br />
