CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 78-310 <br /> <br />APPROVING AGREM~ENT BETWEEN CITY OF PLEASANTON, <br />CITY OF LIVERMORE, A}~ ALAMEDA COUNTY WITH <br />DeLEUW, CATHER AND COMPANY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />The General Plan of the City of Pleasanton contemplates the elimination <br />of the Southern Pacific railroad tracks through the downtown area of the <br />City, and the construction of grade separations on the Western Pacific <br />Railroad; and <br /> <br />the City has Jointly with the City of Livemore and Alameda County made <br />application to the California Public Utilities Commission for funding to <br />consolidate the Southern Pacific and Western Pacific traffic, eliminate <br />the Southern Pacific trackage and construct certain grade separations; and <br /> <br />WHEREA S, <br /> <br />said funding has been approved and it is necessary to prepare preliminary <br />engineering plans and an Environmental Impact Report in order to proceed; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, an agreement has been prepared for engineering services to accomplish the <br /> required engineering work; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed said agreement and Staff Report No. SR 78:281 <br /> covering said agreement. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Said "Agreement for Engineering Services for Proposed Grade Separations <br /> and Track Consolidation Involving Southern Pacific Transportation Company <br /> and the Western Pacific Railroad Company Tracks between Sunol and Livermore <br /> in Alameda County" between the City of Pleasanton, the City of Livermore, <br /> Alameda County and DeLeuw, Cather and Company is approved subject to cer- <br /> tain changes noted on page 10 of said Agreement, and the Mayor is hereby <br /> authorized to sign said Agreement. <br /> <br />Section 2. This resolution shall be effective ~mmediately upon its passage and <br /> adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED ON DECEMBER 19, 1978, BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmen Brandes, Butler, Kephart, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None ~ <br /> c MAYOR <br />Clay~ E.
