CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 79-6 <br /> <br />DENYING APPEAL BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF A DECISION OF THE <br />PLANNING COMMISSION MAKING THE DETErmINATION THAT EMPLOY- <br />MENT OF ONE ~SSEUSE AS A PART OF THE LA FE~ME COIFFEURS <br />BEAUTY SALON AT 6027 W. LAS POSITAS BOULEVARD DOES NOT <br />CHANGE THE CHARACTERISTIC OF TRAT BUSINESS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />on December 13, 1978, the Planning Commission, acting <br />according to Article 24 (Determination as to Uses Not <br />Listed), Chapter 2, Title II of the Ordinance Code of the <br />City of Pleasanton, made a determination that the nature of <br />a beauty parlor would not be changed by the employment of <br />one masseuse if the beauty parlor had at least five hair <br />stylists and the masseuse and did not generate more than <br />10% of the gross revenues of the business; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council, at their meeting of January 9, 1979, con- <br />sidered their appeal of the Planning Commission determina- <br />tion dated December 13, 1978, relating to the employment <br />of one masseuse in a beauty salon at 6027 W. Las Positas <br />Boulevard; and <br /> <br />WHERHAS, <br /> <br />staff reports to the Planning Commission and minutes of <br />the Planning Commission dated December 13, 1978, as well as <br />Planning Commission Resolution No. 1707, were reviewed and <br />discussed by Councilmembers; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Denies the appeal by the City Council of a decision of <br /> the Planning Commission making the determination that employ- <br /> ment of one masseuse as a part of the La Femme Coiffeurs <br /> Beauty Salon at 6027 W. Las Positas Boulevard does not <br /> change the characteristic of that business and that it will <br /> still be listed as a beauty shop for the purposes of §2-7.08(a) <br /> of Article 8, Chapter 2, Title II of the Ordinance Code of <br /> the City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br />Section 2.
