~ER~S, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 79-39 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING A COMPENSATION PLAN <br />ESTABLISHING THE SALARY AND SUPPLEMENTARY <br />BENEFITS FOR FISCAL YEARS 1978-79 AND 1979-80 <br />FOR CITY ATTORNEY HARVEY E. LEVINE AND AMENDING <br />THE BUDGET ACCORDINGLY. <br /> <br />The City Council has the authority to set the salary <br />and supplementary benefits for the position of City <br />Attorney; and <br />The salary and supplementary benefits for the City <br />Attorney were set in January, 1978, and modifications <br />for fiscal year 1978-79 were delayed by action by the <br />State Legislature and negotiations with other employee <br />groups; and <br /> <br />The City Council is desirous of changing the compensa- <br />tion for the City Attorney. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The salary and supplementary benefits for City Attorney <br /> Harvey E. Levine for fiscal year 1978-79 and fiscal <br /> year 1979-80 shall be set forth in Exhibit A attached <br /> hereto and incorporated herein by reference. <br /> <br />Section 2. The salary set forth in Exhibit A for fiscal year 1978-79 <br /> shall be retroactive to July 1, 1978. <br /> <br />Section 3. The salary and supplementary benefits set forth in <br /> Resolution 78-12 are hereby repealed. <br /> <br />Section 4. The 1978-79 Budget of the City of Pleasanton is amended <br /> accordingly. <br /> <br />Section 5. This resolution shall become effective upon its passage and <br /> adoption. <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED ON March 13, 1979, BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />Ayes: Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Mercer, Wood and Mayor Brandes <br />Noes: None <br />Absent: None <br />Abstain: None <br /> <br /> <br />
