CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 79-38 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING A COMPENSATION PLAN ESTABLISHING <br />THE SALARY AND SUPPLEMENTARY BENEFITS FOR FISCAL YEARS <br />1978-1979 AND 1979-1980 FOR CITY MANAGER CLAYTON E. <br />BROWN AND AMENDING THE BUDGET ACCORDINGLY. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />The City Council has the authority to set the salary and <br />supplementary benefits for the position of City Manager; <br />and <br /> <br />The salary and supplementary benefits for City Manager <br />Brown were set in July, 1977, and modifications for Fiscal <br />Year 1978-79 were delayed by action by the State Legislature <br />and negotiations with other employee groups; and <br />The City Council is desirous of changing the current <br />compensation for City Manager Clayton E. Brown. <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE <br /> <br />Section 1. <br /> <br />The salary and supplementary benefits for City Manager <br />Clayton E. Brown for Fiscal Year 1978-1979 and Fiscal <br />Year 1979-1980 shall be as set forth in Exhibit A attached <br />hereto and incorporated herein by reference. <br /> <br />Section 2. The salary set forth in Exhibit A for Fiscal Year 1978-79 <br /> shall be retroactive to July 1, 1978. <br /> <br />Section 3. The salary and supplementary benefits set forth in <br /> Resolution 77-169 are hereby repealed. <br /> <br />Section 4. <br /> <br />The 1978-79 Budget of the City of Pleasanton is amended <br />accordingly. <br /> <br />Section 5. <br /> <br />This resolution shall become effective upon its passage and <br />adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED ON March 13, 1979, BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />Ayes: Councilmembers Butler, <br />Noes: None <br />Absent: None <br />Abstain: None <br /> <br />Kephart, Mercer, Wood and Mayor Brandes <br /> <br /> <br />
