CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION N0.79-59 A RESOLUTION MAKING APPLICATION TO ALAMEDA COUNTY LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION REQUESTING INITIATION OF PROCEEDINGS FOR PROPOSED ANNEXATION NO. 74 PURSUANT TO THE MUNICIPAL ORGANIZATION ACT OF 1977. WHEREAS, pursuant to the Municipal Organization Act of 1977, beginning with Section 35000 of the Government Code, an affected city, as therein defined, may, by resolution adopted by its legislative body, make a proposal for an "Annexation and Detachments" and request initiation of proceedings thereon; and WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton is an "affected city" for an annexation proposal which contains territory proposed to be annexed as part of said City. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. This City Council, as the legislative body of an affected City, does hereby make a proposal for annexation pursuant to the Municipal Organization Act of 1977, and does hereby request proceedings pursuant to such act. Section 2. The annexation shall consist of the following change in organization: That 1.06 acres, more or less, area adjacent to Amber Lane, approximately at its intersection with Hamilton Way, shall be changed from unincor- porated Alameda County lands to land within the City of Pleasanton. Said territory is found to be uninhabited and is more specifically described in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and incorporated herein. Section 3. This City Council does hereby declare that its reasons for proposing this annexation are: The area is adjacent to the City, is substantially developed, is receiving City services and benefits already and will further benefit from additional City services which would be provided per City standards; the area would receive full City services.
