CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 79-56 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION <br />OF A PROJECT AGREEMENT FOR LAND AND WATER CONSERVATION <br />FUND PROJECT NO. 06-00705, PLEASANTON SPORTS AND <br />RECREATION PARK DEVELOPMENT, BETWEEN THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON AND THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, RESOURCES AGENCY, <br />DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City of Pleasanton's grant request for the Pleasanton <br />Sports and Recreation Park Phase III development, Project <br />No. 06-00705, has been selected by the State of California <br />Department of Parks and Recreation for funding up to $201,007 <br />from the Land and Water Conservation Fund Program allocations <br />for the fiscal year 1978-79; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of April 24, 1979, the City Council reviewed <br />and approved the Land and Water Conservation Fund Project <br />Agreement relating to the grant; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Approves and authorizes the execution of the Land and <br /> Water Conservation Fund Project Agreement, a copy of which <br /> is attached hereto as Exhibit A, between the City of Pleasan- <br /> ton and the State of California, the terms of which provide <br /> for federal reimbursement to the City of an amount not to <br /> exceed $201,007 from the Land and Water Conservation Program <br /> 1978-79 allocations for the development of Project No.06-00705, <br /> Pleasanton Sports and Recreation Park Development,Phase III, as <br /> described below: <br /> <br />The project will include grading and site preparation <br />on approximately 24 acres, plus a connecting paved <br />access roadway, installation of drainage facilities, <br />development of approximately 20 acres of turf with <br />automatic irrigation system, extension of on site <br />water main, sanitary sewer lateral and electrical <br />conduits for future facilities, construction of <br />temporary fence on property line, development of <br />parking areas for approximately 240 cars and the <br />installation of some basic landscape improvements, <br />primarily trees. In addition, the existing two <br />80-car parking lots and access road will be paved. <br /> <br />Section 2.
