CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 79-53 <br /> <br />APPROVING THE CITY MANAGER'S REPORT DATED APRIL 5, 1979, <br />AND AUTHORIZING THE ADDITION OF THREE POLICE OFFICER <br />POSITIONS IN THE PLEASANTON POLICE DEPARTMENT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at their meeting of April 10, 1979, the City Council received <br />and considered a report from the City Manager dated April 5, <br />1979, related to the need for additional staff in the Police <br />Department in order to handle the workload and provide ade- <br />quate protection and service to the citizens of Pleasanton; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />after discussion, it was determined to be appropriate to <br />approve the report and request for additional staffing in <br />the Police Department; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Approves the report of the City Manager dated April 5, <br /> 1979, related to Police Department staffing, and authorizes <br /> the addition of three police officer positions in the Pleasan- <br /> ton Police Department. <br /> <br />Section 2. The 1978-79 Budget for the Police Department is hereby <br /> amended to provide the additional staff approved in Sec- <br /> tion 1 above. <br /> <br />Section 3.
