CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 79-42 REVIEW OF BEDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF PETERS AVENUE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 79-1 TO EUGENE ALVES CONSTRUCTION CO., INC. WHEREAS , The City prepared plans and specifications for the improvement of Peters Avenue Project No. 79-1; and WHEREAS, Pursuant to Government Code #37900, et seq., the City Engineering Services Department advertised for bids regarding this project; and WHEREAS, Bids were received and reviewed by the City Council at their meeting of March 29, 1979;and WHEREAS , The bid of Eugene Alves Construction Co., amount of $77,880.50 was determined to be responsible bid; and Inc., in the the lowest WHEREAS, The Director of Public Works and Utilities recommended that the bid of Eugene Alves Construction Co., Inc., be accepted; and WHEREAS, The available fund to complete this project is $75,512.50 and staff has recommended that the addi- tional $2,368.00 needed for the project be provided from the Capital Improvement Fund. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The bid of Eugene Alves Construction Co., Inc., in the amount of $77,880.50 for the construction of the Peters Avenue Improvement, Project No. 79-1, is hereby accepted by the City Council as the lowest responsible bid. Section 2o Approval is hereby given to provide the additional $2,368.00 needed for the project from the Capital Improvement Fund. Section 3. The City is authorized to enter into a contract with Eugene Alves Construction Co., Inc., for the improve- ments specified above.
