CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 79-79 A RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR AN APPLICATION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION TO REZONE AN APPROVIMATELY 5.1 ACRE PARCEL OF LAND LOCATED AT THE SOUTHWEST INTERSECTION OF STONERIDGE DRIVE AND SPRINGDALE AVENUE FROM R-1-6500 (SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) DISTRICT TO RM-2500 (HIGH DENSITY RESIDENTIAL) DISTRICT WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has made application to rezone an approximately 5.1 acre parcel of land located at the south- west intersection of Stoneridge Drive and Springdale Avenue from R-1-6500 (Single-Family Residential) District to RM-2500 (High Density Residential) District or any other zoning district consistent with the General Plan; and WHEREAS, the Planning Division of the Department of Planning and Community Development made an initial study of the environ- mental consequences of said request; and WHEREAS, the Director of Planning recommended the preparation of a Negative Declaration; and W~HEREAS, the initial study and recommendation of the Director of Plan- ning were considered by the City Council at its meeting of May 8, 1979; and WHEREAS, the City Council had before it at that time the Environ- mental Impact Guidelines and Procedures adopted by the City Council on February 28, 1977, By Resolution 77-66; and WHEREAS, the City Attorney advised the Council of the applicable provisions of the Guidelines which govern the evaluation of projects by the City Council, especially as set forth in §5.4(e); and WHEREAS, on May 8, 1979, the City Council held a public hearing, at which time any member of the public who wished to do so was offered the opportunity to address the Council regarding the initial study recommending a Negative Declaration; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Council has reviewed the report of the Planning Director dated May 2, 1979, and the initial study of this project, and hereby determines that a Negative Declaration is appropriate for the rezoning of an approximately 5.1 acre parcel of land located at the southwest intersection of Stoneridge Drive and Springdale Avenue from R-1-6500 (Single-Family Residential) District to RM-2500 (High Density Residential) District, on the basis that no signi- ficant environmental impact would occur.
