CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 79-79 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR AN <br />APPLICATION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION TO REZONE AN <br />APPROVIMATELY 5.1 ACRE PARCEL OF LAND LOCATED AT THE <br />SOUTHWEST INTERSECTION OF STONERIDGE DRIVE AND SPRINGDALE <br />AVENUE FROM R-1-6500 (SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) DISTRICT <br />TO RM-2500 (HIGH DENSITY RESIDENTIAL) DISTRICT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Planning Commission has made application to rezone an <br />approximately 5.1 acre parcel of land located at the south- <br />west intersection of Stoneridge Drive and Springdale Avenue <br />from R-1-6500 (Single-Family Residential) District to <br />RM-2500 (High Density Residential) District or any other <br />zoning district consistent with the General Plan; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Planning Division of the Department of Planning and <br />Community Development made an initial study of the environ- <br />mental consequences of said request; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Planning recommended the preparation of <br /> a Negative Declaration; and <br /> <br />W~HEREAS, <br /> <br />the initial study and recommendation of the Director of Plan- <br />ning were considered by the City Council at its meeting of <br />May 8, 1979; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council had before it at that time the Environ- <br />mental Impact Guidelines and Procedures adopted by the City <br />Council on February 28, 1977, By Resolution 77-66; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Attorney advised the Council of the applicable <br />provisions of the Guidelines which govern the evaluation <br />of projects by the City Council, especially as set forth <br />in §5.4(e); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />on May 8, 1979, the City Council held a public hearing, at <br />which time any member of the public who wished to do so <br />was offered the opportunity to address the Council regarding <br />the initial study recommending a Negative Declaration; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Council has reviewed the report of the Planning <br /> Director dated May 2, 1979, and the initial study of this <br /> project, and hereby determines that a Negative Declaration <br /> is appropriate for the rezoning of an approximately 5.1 <br /> acre parcel of land located at the southwest intersection <br /> of Stoneridge Drive and Springdale Avenue from R-1-6500 <br /> (Single-Family Residential) District to RM-2500 (High <br /> Density Residential) District, on the basis that no signi- <br /> ficant environmental impact would occur. <br /> <br />Section 2. The Director of Planning is directed to file a Notice of <br /> <br /> <br />
