CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 79-71 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN APPLICATION FROM THE <br />PLANNING COMMISSION FOR A GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT <br />TO CHANGE THE LAND USE DESIGNATION OF A 6.6 ACRE <br />SITE LOCATED AT THE SOUTHWEST INTERSECTION OF <br />VALLEY AVENUE AND HANSEN DRIVE FROM "COMMERCIAL <br />AND OFFICES" TO "MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL" <br /> <br />W'HEREAS <br /> <br />the City Council, at its meeting of April 24, 1979 re- <br />ceived a proposed application from the Planning Commission <br />for a General Plan Amendment to change the land use desig- <br />nation of a 6.6 acre site located at the southwest inter- <br />section of Valley Avenue and Hansen Drive from "Commercial <br />and Offices" to "Medium Density Residential" <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> <br />the City Council at its meeting of August 28, 1979, consid- <br />ered a report, together with attachments, from the Director <br />of Planning and Community Development regarding the proposed <br />General Plan Amendment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> <br />the City Council determined that a Negative Declaration was <br />appropriate for the proposed General Plan Amendment and <br />adopted Resolution No. 79-70 approving the Negative Declara- <br />tion; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council held a public hearing with respect to the <br />General Plan Amendment at which time any member of the public <br />was offered the opportunity to address the City Council on <br />said amendment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />after the close of the public hearing the City Council delib- <br />erated upon the proposed amendment, considering the informa- <br />tion set forth in the report of the Director of Planning and <br />attachments thereto, as well as the information contained in <br />the intitial study leading to the Negative Declaration for <br />said project. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Council approves the application of the Planning <br /> Commission for a General Plan Amendment to change the land use <br /> designation of a 6.6 acre site located at the southwest inter- <br /> section of Valley Avenue and Hansen Drive from "Commercial and <br /> Offices" to "Medium Density Residential." <br /> <br />Section 2. The City Council determines that this amendment, along with <br /> the other amendments adopted April 24, 1979, is one of three <br /> times in 1979 that the land use element of the General Plan <br /> is amended as authorized by Government Code §65631. <br /> <br />III <br /> <br /> <br />
