CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION N0.79-70 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROBING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR A <br />GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT TO CHANGE THE LAND USE DESIGNA=2 <br />TION OF A 6.6 ACRE SITE LOCATED AT THE SOUTHWEST INTER- <br />SECTION OF VALLEY AVENUE AND HANSEN DRIVE FROM "COMMER- <br />CIAL AND OFFICES" TO "MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL" <br /> <br />WHEREAS , <br /> <br />the City Council, at its meeting of April 24, 1979 re- <br />ceived a proposed negative declaration for a General Plan <br />Amendment to change the land use designation of a 6.6 acre <br />site located at the southwest intersection of Valley Avenue <br />and Hansen Drive from "Commercial and Offices" to "Medium <br />Density Residential" (hereinafter referred to as the Project); <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS , <br /> <br />staff has determined that the proposed General Plan Amend- <br />ment is a project for the purposes of the Calfornia Environ- <br />mental Quality Act; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />an Initial Study done pursuant to the Environmental Impact <br />Guidelines and Procedures adopted by the City Council of <br />the City of Pleasanton by Resolution No. 77-66 was prepared <br />for the Project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council, at its meeting of April 24, 1979 also <br />received that Initial Study dated April 16, 1979; and <br /> <br />each member of the City Council had a copy of Resolution <br />No. 77-66 at the time of considering the proposed Negative <br />Declaration and Initial Study; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the public was afforded an opportunity to comment on the <br />proposed environmental assessment, which had been publish- <br />ed in the Pleasanton Times, a newspaper of general circula- <br />tion, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS , <br /> <br />the City Council is aware of the provisions of the City's <br />Guidelines and Processing Procedures for the evaluation of <br />projects and the preparation of Environmental Impact Report <br />as they pertain to requirements for Negative Declaration and <br />Environmental Impact Reports. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section <br /> <br />1. The City Council determines that the proposed Project <br />would not have any significant adverse effects on the <br />environment and therefore no Environmental Impact Report <br />shall be prepared. <br /> <br />Section 2. The City Staff is directed to cause a Notice of <br /> <br /> <br />
