CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 79-69 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF PONDEROSA HOMES <br />GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT TO CHANGE THE LAND USE DESIGNATION <br />OF A 9.8 ACRE SITE LOCATED BETWEEN HANSEN DRIVE AND PASEO <br />SANTA CRUZ IMMEDIATELY WEST OF VALLEY AVENUE FROM "HIGH <br />DENSITY RESIDENTIAL" TO "MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL" <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS , <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br /> the City Council, at its meeting of April 24, 1979, re- <br /> ceived an application from Ponderosa Homes for a General <br /> Plan Amendment to change the land use designation of a <br /> 9.8 acre site located between Hansen Drive and Paseo <br /> Santa Cruz immediately west of Valley Avenue from "High <br /> Denisty Residential" to "Medium Density Residential" <br /> (hereinafter referred to as the Project); and <br /> <br /> the City Council at its meeting of August 28, 1979, also <br /> considered a report, together with attachments, from the <br /> Director of planning and Community Development regarding <br /> proposed General Plan Amendment; and <br /> <br /> the City Council determined that a Negative Declaration was <br /> appropriate for the proposed General Plan Amendment and <br /> adopted Resolution No. 79-68 approving the Negative Declara- <br /> tion; and <br /> <br /> the City Council held a public hearing with respect to the <br /> General Plan Amendment at which time any member of the public <br /> was offered the opportunity to address the City Council on <br /> said amendment; and <br /> <br /> after the close of the public hearing the City Council delib- <br /> erated upon the proposed amendment, considering the informa- <br /> tion set forth in the report of the Director of Planning and <br /> attachments thereto, as well as the information contained in <br /> the initial study leading to the Negative Declaration for <br /> said project. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Council approves the application of Ponderosa <br /> Homes for a General Plan Amendment to change the land use <br /> designation of a 9.8 acre site located between Hansen Drive <br /> and Paseo Santa Cruz immediately west of Valley Avenue from <br /> "High Density Residential" to "Medium Density Residential." <br /> <br />Section 2o The City Council determines that this amendment, along with <br /> the other amendments adopted April 24, 1979, is one of three <br /> times in 1979 that the land use element of the General Plan <br /> is amended as authorized by Government Code §65631. <br /> /// <br /> <br /> <br />
