CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 79-68 A RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR A GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT TO CHANGE THE LAND USE DESIG- NATION OF A 9.8 ACRE SITE LOCATED BETWEEN HANSEN DRIVE AND PASEO SANTA CRUZ IMMEDIATELY WEST OF VALLEY AVENUE FROM "HIGH DENSITY RESIDENTIAL" TO "MEDIUM DENSITY RESI- DENTIAL" WHEREAS, ' ~erred toas the City Council, at its meeting of April 24, 1979, re- ceived a proposed negative declaration for a General Plan Amendment to change the land use designation of a 9.8 acre site located between Hansen Drive and Paseo Santa Cruz immediately west of Valley Avenue from "High Density Resi- dential" to "Medium Density Residential" (hereinafter re- the Project); and WHEREAS, staff has determined that the proposed General Plan Amend- ~ment is a project fot the purposes of the California Environ- 'mental Quality Act; and WHEREAS, an Initial Study done pursuant to the Environmental Impact Guidelines and Procedures adopted by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton by Resolution No. 77-66 was prepared for the Project; and WHEREAS, WHEREAS, WHEREAS, the City Council at its meeting of April 24, 1979 alsoTM received that Initial Study dated April 16, 1979; and each member of the City Council had a copy of Resolution No. 77-66 at the time of considering the proposed Negative Declaration and Initial Study; and the public was afforded an opportunity to comment on the proposed environmental assessment, which had been published in the Pleasanton Times, a newspaper of general circulation; and WHEREAS , the City Council is aware of the provisions of the City's Guidelines and Processing Procedures for the evaluation of projects and the preparation of Environmental Impact Report as they pertain to requirements for Negative Declarations and Environmental Impact Reports. NOW, THERFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Council determines that the proposed Project for a General Plan Amendment to change the land use designa- tion of a 9.8 acre site located between Hansen Drive and Paseo Santa Cruz immediately west of Valley Avenue from "High Density Residential" to "Medium Density Residential" would not have any significant adverse effects on the environment and therefore no Environmental Impact Report shall be prepared.
