CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 79-67 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF CASTLEWOOD <br />ENTERPRISES GENERAL PLAN A~NDMENT WHICH WOULD CHANGE <br />THE LAND USE DESIGNATION OF A 2.5 ACRE PARCEL LOCATED <br />AT THE SOUTHEAST QUADRANT OF JUNCTION OF JUNIPERO <br />DRt%~ WITH SUNOL BOULEVARD FROM "PUBLIC AND INSTITU- <br />TIONAL" TO "COMMERCIAL AND OFFICES" AND "HIGH DENSITY <br />RESIDENTIAL" <br /> <br />WHEREAS , <br /> <br />the City Council, at its meeting of April 24, 1979, re- <br />ceived a proposed negative declaration for a General Plan <br />Amendment which would change the land use designation <br />of a 2°5 acre site (hereinafter referred to as the Project) <br />located at the southeast quandrant of the junction of <br />Junipero Drive with Sunol Boulevard from "Public and Insti- <br />tutional" to "Commercial and Offices" and "High Density <br />Residential;" and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council at its meeting of April 24, 1979, considered <br />a report, together with attachments, from the Director of <br />Planning and Community Development regarding the proposed <br />General Plan Amendment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council determined that a Negative Declaration was <br />appropriate for the proposed General Plan Amendment and <br />adopted Resolution No. 79-66 approving the Negative Declara- <br />tion; and <br /> <br />WHE RE A S, <br /> <br />the City Council held a public hearing with respect to the <br />General Plan Amendment at which time any member of the public <br />was offered the opportunity to address the City Council on <br />said amendment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />after the close of the public hearing the City Council delib- <br />erated upon the proposed amendment, considering the informa- <br />tion set forth in the staff reports of the Director of Planning <br />and attachments thereof, as well as the information contained <br />for said property. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1~ The City Council approves the proposed General Plan <br /> Amendment which would change the land use designation of <br /> a 2.5 acre parcel located at the southeast quadrant of <br /> junction of Junipero Drive with Sunol Boulevard from <br /> "Public and Institutional" to "Commercial and Offices" and <br /> "High Density Residential." <br /> <br />Section 2. This resolution shall be effective immediately. <br /> <br />Section 3. The City Council determines that this amendment, alon with <br /> the other amendments adopted April 24, 1979, is one of t~ree <br /> <br /> <br />
